Sharon King

Fashion is my passion and I have an overwhelming love for home interiors, vintage style “any things” including signs, old quilts, clothing, painted furniture and gardens – in particular old fashioned cottage style gardens full of old roses, lavender, lilacs and stocks.

Combining my fashion and interior design skills, I produce a range of hand painted accessories for the home under the name of Nosy Rosie designs. The range includes painted furniture, signs, jewellery and tissue boxes, picture frames, canvases and decorations.

Using my textile skills, I also make fabric handbags, cushion covers, Christmas stockings and other home and fashion accessories.

Supplying shops and boutiques in Essex, I also regularly attend various art and craft events and work on specially commissioned items and interior design commissions for individual clients.

I sell on-line through ebay, etsy and folksy, and am in the process of launching my own website.

With a degree in Fashion Design and several years experience as a clothing designer in london, coupled with several City and Guilds Qualifications in Interior Decorative Techniques and adult learning, I teach art and design at Southend Adult Community college, and also offer private tuition through painting workshops, one to one sessions and regular monthly classes.

Through study in business management and entrepreneurship in creative industries at Essex university in Southend, I had the good fortune to meet and connect with a fabulous group of creative businesswomen and from this union, Cresco east has been formed to make a difference to the community and contribute to creative growth for the town of Southend on sea, and the east of England.
