Welcome

CrEsCo-EAST came into being as a direct consequence of our studies on the Post Graduate MA Certificate Course piloted in the UK by the University of Essex, School of Entrepreneurship and Business, which is where we the core of the group all met; and would like to thank all our lecturers for all the work that when into the inspirational delivery of this course; and the European Union for providing the funding that made this course possible.

 

We are:

- A consortium of successful women
- Entrepreneurs working in the cultural, creative and educational
  industries, with numerous years of experience, and a vast portfolio
  of successes to our individual credit.
- Dynamic, eclectic and passionate about Southend and our region. (The East of England)

 

The idea and inspiration behind the formation of cresco-EAST was first floated to the class group in early June 2008. We subsequently called our first meeting on Wednesday 18th June 2008; where we discussed the vision and the mission of our group. By Friday the 4th July 2008, our consortium groups had been named and our Phase One Constitution had been agreed and ratified.

 

From this time forward, our work is focused on developing (to deliver) a range of exciting and innovative cultural and creative projects for the Southend area, the East of England and further a field.

 

We currently have a number of projects at various stages of development and are actively working on extending the range of skill-sets and expertise of the consortium through networking, invitation and informal project partnership development.

 

One of our key interests is the Regeneration of Southend, through culture, arts, creativity and entrepreneurship. To this end we have at this very early stage of our inception been invited to consult on a significant local project...
