Diana Causton

I started my Consultancy business in 2000 when I got fed up of having my future controlled by other people. I did a S.W.O.T analysis on my personal and working life, and realised that I had a lot of skills, abilities and experience to offer, that would benefit others. Since 1976 I have had many years’ life and business experiences, gained through my varied life style and working career, in the international corporate marketplace, charities, and social enterprises.

As a self motivated, conscientious and hard working person, I have been blessed with the ability to see situations through a global perspective, which has been gained through my work and involvement with different international projects. I have been involved with projects for businesses, social enterprises, governmental and non-governmental sectors and charities in the diverse global marketplace, where I have organised, instigated, established, presented and promoted, raised finance, and project managed several international programmes.

As a Christian I believed in truth, honesty, integrity, personal and work ethics, where I have endeavoured at all times to treat everyone as I would want to be treated. As a working housewife and mother I realised I had been multi tasking for years, with excellent qualities as a team player, carer and negotiator. I have made an effort to try and achieve a win - win outcome in my personal, work and social life.

I have been married for 43 years and I am the proud mother of two successful sons who are qualified professionals.

I have the ability to be a motivational speaker for peers who trust my views, opinions and observations. I endeavour to give positive input that will empower, motivate and support the benefits of a manageable successful lifestyle. As a key speaker for many businesses, charities, and religious organisations, at annual functions and events, I cover a wide range of subjects, including business, social, culture, youth, retirement, family and global issues. I am able to deliver humorous, creative and interesting talks, which I am told are thought provoking, challenging and memorable in their delivery.

My straightforward approach allows me to be specific and honest, when dealing with people of all ages, status and backgrounds. I have been very privileged to be associated and worked with a cross section of all types of people from around the world. This has helped me to understand the importance of respecting humanities, origins, individuality, concepts, views and ideas, within a varied competitive global perspective.

I also run a “not for profit” music ministry in conjunction with my consultancy which in 2009 is celebrating 20 years of service. This has given me a first hand, real insight into the requirements for professional skills, attitudes and approaches, public needs and government legislation in an ever changing world. The world wide music business is a demanding, challenging and volatile environment. My experience has helped me to understand the global language of music and respond to the needs of the cross generations. It has given me a streetwise perspective on the changing scene of sex, drugs and rock & role. The international language of music speaks to all people and delivers an understanding of the changing roles in the personal and business perspective of a global society.

I am a business adviser, consultant, trainer and auditor. My main role is to help and support individuals, start ups, small to medium and large businesses dealing with products and services. My areas of expertise include personal development, business overviews and planning, finance and fund raising, systems reviews, expansions and downsizing, money management and training. My logical and simple approach has helped individual and large international organisations to focus and look at their fundamental core skills, attitudes, ideas, values and approaches, from their original perspectives, foundations and vision. This approach helps clients to achieve “prosperity without pressure”, develop personal goals and enjoy dealing with challenges to succeed within their businesses, in the fast changing global economy and marketplace.

Working for years with several charitable organisations, locally, nationally and internationally, in a worldwide arena, has given me the knowledge and experience, of the importance of professional fund raising and sponsorship, in order to survive financially, while doing good works. It has also given me an insight on public reactions to different causes, which helps me when I am writing, developing and delivering presentations to and for clients and organisations, to encourage help and support for worthy causes.

It is my philosophy to encourage self-development and self-esteem through various life skills training programmes I have written and run for youth, young adults, adults in crisis and senior citizens. Focusing on the individual’s skills, attitudes and abilities, I try to guide them to the realisation that they are valued members of their families, a social asset to their friends and constructive members of their communities, with an important role to play, when impacting changes in the global environment and economy.

Running my own business and non-profit music ministry, allows me to work with senior management and individuals, to evaluate business ideas, vision, directions, products, services, so decision making has positive and realistic outcomes. I use my experiences in business and personal mistakes, challenges, and life changes, to help clients with their individual and business perspectives, as they relate and cope with the fast growing, ever changing international communications and networking worldwide.

I consider time spent monitoring; evaluating and assessing my own skills, time restraints and flexibility as crucial. It helps me to focus and assess my own skills needs and seek to improve my personal development and knowledge. I am pleased to announce that in 2008, I completed and passed with merit a Post Graduate Certificate Degree course in Creative Industries, Entrepreneurship and Business Management. I am an associate member of the Institute of Business Counsellors and I am in the process of gaining my membership for Chartered Institute of Professional Development. I belong to the Order of Saint Lazarus – Londinium Branch, which raises funds for worldwide disasters and charitable organisations.
